Prayer
To know I care, with thanksgiving to GOD in JESUS Name on your behalf, will make requests

To go above from below beyond atmospheric air to approach HIS throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace in time of need in order to bless

To sow and reap wellness for your welfare when by HIS stripes HE answers to repair the wounds and illness HE alone can assess

To slow down and carry the burdens that you bear coming to HIM will together find rest

Prayer
To overflow with praise unto HIM always share of YOUR reality attest

To set aglow as the Spirit intercedes in unison, as one, though we’re a pair to be salt and light combined together with zest;  a 3 chord strand is not easily broken in our faith professed

Prayer
To bestow all of me as I let go and submit to do YOUR will -prepare with my commitment to invest in the future adventure all about YOUR Kingdom’s quest

To throw off all that entangles in this world so that YOUR promises and Word which are yes and amen speak louder than the confusion in order to declare HIS Way, HIS Truth, and HIS Life expressed

Prayer 
To winnow out what isn’t of YOU so that nothing will ensnare, nothing will contaminate to impair, nor cause to digress, nor choose to transgress, so that forgiveness as far as east to west occurs when sins confessed

To overthrow the foe with unlimited ammo within HIS victorious warfare defeating what oppressed

Prayer
To overshadow the walls of Jericho fallen to enter into the Promise Land set free by the SON no longer stuck in despair, nor struck down in past failure stare, nor plucked away by fears and doubts that once did overwhelmingly blare so as not to regress or fall away with its stress

To forego pride and stay humble, dependent on my Ever-present Help, ever ready to send up a flare when distressed

To owe the continuing debt of loving one another always and forever no matter what and to remain closer to YOU found to be so rare written within our hearts impressed

To borrow from my Teacher and Master so as to do greater things in and through me at YOUR command and in YOUR Name by faith choose to dare will manifest in due time in a new season that gains for YOU an abundant harvest

Let’s revisit 1 Peter 3:7 from my previous post Love’s Understanding Way. I will focus now on prayer and its importance, relevance, and priority.

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

1 Peter 3:7

I’ve taken steps to live with Tami in an understanding way. I know she is weaker, especially due to debilitating health at this time. I show her honor as my helpmate who is an heir with me of the grace of life. The Word says, that if I do this, our prayers will not be hindered.

Hindered comes from the Greek word ekkoptō. It means to exscind; figuratively to frustrate: cut down (off, out), hew down, hinder.

I do not want to frustrate our prayers being offered to GOD and delay HIS answer.

I do not want to cut down or hew down our prayers as if they were once life giving trees bearing fruit choosing to let them die.

I do not want to cut off our prayers that they do not enter GOD’s throne room.

I do not want to cut out our prayers to be non-existent.

Prayers Will Be Answered…

As I have been obeying 1 Peter 3:7, I am confident our prayers will not be stopped in their tracks toward Heaven.

I am standing on GOD’s Holy Word that promises HE, HIMSELF, will answer our prayers in JESUS’ Name…

Pray When Put Faith in GOD Who Exists and Know HE Rewards All Who Earnestly Seek HIM

I have faith that HE will answer my prayers for Tami’s health in HIS timing and way and I know faith in HIM to do so pleases HIM…

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

I obey the “Who” to pray to on behalf of my wife.

Pray with Power in JESUS’ Name

I pray trusting in the Name above all names -in Him who is my Salvation, who is my Shepherd and Redeemer, and who is the Author and Perfecter of my faith…

¹³ And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.¹⁴ You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

John 14:13-14

¹⁶ You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

John 15:16

²³ In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. ²⁴ Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

John 16:23-24

I obey the “in Whom” I pray through for my wife.

Pray for HIM to Provide when Abide in Him

I abide in HIS Word and in Him so provision may be received for my wife.

⁷ If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

John 15:7

I obey the pre-requisite “how” of abiding in JESUS and His Words so that I may receive my wish of healing for Tami.

Pray in Private

There are times I pray alone and to HIM alone.

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 6:6

I obey the “where” to pray for my wife.

Pray with Purpose to Ask

I pray knowing GOD will answer since HE is pleased to be the FATHER who gives to HIS children who asks of HIM…

⁷“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ⁸For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

⁹“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? ¹⁰Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? ¹¹If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your FATHER in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask HIM!

Matthew 7:7-11

I obey the “what” specifically to pray for on behalf of my wife.

Pray for the Promise in Faith

I pray in faith which is the key that unlocks the answer to meeting my wife’s need of healing.

²² If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Matthew 21:22

²⁴Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Mark 11:24

¹⁴ This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

1 John 5:14-15

I obey the “why” of faith filled prayer for my wife, because it pleases HIM.

Pray Alongside Pleasing HIM

I pray with focus being on obeying HIS commands of believing JESUS and loving others that pleases HIM.

¹⁸ Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

¹⁹ This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: ²⁰ If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. ²¹ Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God ²² and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. ²³ And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. ²⁴ The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him,and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

I obey the “what to do” in the meantime while awaiting GOD’s answer to be received for Tami.

Pray as a Pair Yet Considered as One

We will pray together believing and trusting in HIM.

¹⁹ “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

Matthew 18:19

I obey the “with who” believing with my wife for her healing.

Promote Rejoicing, Pray Perpetually, Practice Thankfulness

I will continue to pray until the answer from GOD has come to fruition.

¹⁶ Rejoice always, ¹⁷ pray without ceasing, ¹⁸ give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I will rejoice in the LORD, pray to the LORD, and give thanks to the LORD continually…

Prioritize JESUS to be 1st Place Proving My Love for GOD and Others

My focus is set aside now to be on JESUS’ two greatest commandments…

³⁷ JESUS replied: “‘Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ ³⁸ This is the first and greatest commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ⁴⁰ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:37-40

I choose to obey JESUS…

Pray to Protect My Wife

I have put away keeping up with sports, reading up about celebrities lives, and following up on the news incessantly.

I’ve purposed in my mind, my heart, my soul, and my spirit in cooperation with the Holy Spirit to fight for my wife’s well being with prayer in and through my LORD and Savior JESUS Christ making requests with thanksgiving to GOD my FATHER in Heaven awaiting HIS response of grace, mercy, and compassion toward receiving my faith in HIM, recognizing my hope from HIM, and revealing my love through HIM for healing to take place…

³ Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ⁴ No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.

2 Timothy 2:3-4

I choose to serve JESUS as a soldier willingly laying down my life for my wife while praying for her.

Pray Prepared at All Times

I have put away drinking alcohol, but would rather be drunk in the Spirit.

⁷ The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

1 Peter 4:7

I choose to be clear-minded ever ready to pray for my wife.

Pray for the Possibility of GOD Doing What is Impossible for Man

I will believe in GOD, the Great Physician, who has the ability to perform a miracle.

¹³ Your ways, God, are holy.

    What god is as great as our God?

¹⁴ You are the God who performs miracles;

    you display your power among the peoples.

¹⁵ With your mighty arm you redeemed your people,

    the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.

Psalm 77:13-15

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?”

Jeremiah 32:27

“For no Word from God will ever fail.”

Luke 1:37

“Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.’”
