Deliverance from Darkness -Salvation…

In the previous message, Dating Guidelines for a Son and a Daughter, I express from my heart and with GOD’s Word direction and guidance for relationship building until finding the right one whom GOD has chosen to be the spouse. It will take prayer, setting boundaries, open discussion, and GOD’s timing…

In this message, I will discuss sin, satan, and the Savior to know deliverance from darkness unto salvation…

Design and Delegation Leading Up to the Origin of Sin

Read Genesis 1-3 for full account.

1st Day -In the beginning GOD created the Heavens and the earth. HE spoke into existence light and darkness and separated them into day and night for there to be morning and evening.

2nd Day -GOD separated water under the expanse from the water above it and named the expanse sky.

3rd Day -God spoke that the water be gathered to one place called seas and dry ground appear called land. GOD spoke that the land produce vegetation as seed bearing plants and trees bearing fruit with seeds to reproduce after their kinds.

4th Day -GOD spoke for lights to be in the sky: the sun to govern the day and moon and stars to govern the night as signs to mark the seasons, days, and years.

5th Day -GOD spoke into existence creatures of the sea and birds of the air to teem and reproduce after their kinds.

6th Day -GOD spoke into existence livestock, wild animals, and other creatures that move along the ground to teem and reproduce after their kinds. Then GOD spoke “Let us make man after our own image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So GOD created man. HE created male and female. GOD blessed them and told them to be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth, and subdue it and to rule over every creature.

7th Day -GOD finished HIS work and rested and made the seventh day holy.

GOD formed man, named Adam, from the dust and breathed life into his nostrils. HE put the man in the Garden of Eden. In the middle of the garden was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. GOD told the man to eat from any other tree, but not from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. GOD told him if he eats from it, he would surely die. GOD said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

GOD made Adam sleep, took a rib from him, and formed a woman for him.

Now the serpent (satan) who was crafty questioned the woman about GOD’s command to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The woman replied that GOD said, “You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.” The serpent responded that she would not die. The serpent continued, “For GOD knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like GOD, knowing good and evil.”

Then the woman saw that the fruit from this tree was good for food, pleasing to the eye, and desirable for gaining wisdom. She took some and ate it. She gave some to Adam who also ate it. Then their eyes were opened and they felt shame of being naked.

Adam and the woman actively made the choice to disobey GOD’s only command of what not to do. They both had sinned. The LORD GOD walked through the garden and Adam and the woman hid from HIM. GOD asked Adam where he was. Adam told HIM, he hid for he was naked. GOD responded with “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?

They had both sinned. Sin entered the scene bringing harsh and undesirable consequences.

GOD responded to the serpent first:

  • cursing him above all creatures to crawl on his belly and eat dust all his life
  • putting enmity between him and the woman and between his offspring and hers
  • and that he will crush the serpent’s head and the serpent will strike his heel

GOD responded to the woman second:

  • telling her that the pain in childbirth will greatly increase
  • telling her that her desire will be for her husband and he will rule over her

GOD responded to Adam third:

  • cursing the ground because of him
  • causing him to painfully toil the ground to eat from it
  • causing the ground to produce thorns and thistles for him
  • causing him to eat the plants of the field
  • causing him to sweat from his brow in order to eat his food until he returned to the ground

Adam named the woman Eve because she would be the mother of all the living.

The LORD GOD made garments for Adam and his wife to clothe them.

And the LORD GOD said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

GOD banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken.

Devastation and Degradation of Sin

What is sin?

First off, sin caused shame and desire to hide from GOD. Sin caused brokenness toward separation and being afraid of fellowship. Let’s look at sin’s consequences revealed in the Word. Sin had brought pain and suffering. In being removed from the Garden of Eden, man had to work hard in order to eat. Adam and Eve would no longer live forever, but now face death. The perfect peace, perfect provision, and perfect protection was lost. All of humanity now faced sin’s consequences. Most sadly of all, sin separated humans from the most intimate and perfect relationship with GOD HIMSELF.

However GOD had a plan to rescue, reconcile, restore, and redeem every human in the world from sin’s separation through HIS SON JESUS whom HE would send to earth from Heaven on our behalf… We’ll look at this greatest Gift given to be received further along in this message.

The word sin is first mentioned in Genesis 4:7 which says

If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”

Sin committed by humans was so horrifying at one point in history that GOD chose to flood the whole earth and start all over. Yet HE found a righteous man in Noah and commanded him to build an ark to hold his family and chosen animals for when the flood took place keeping them all safe for 40 days and 40 nights of torrential downpour. When the flood waters fell, GOD released them into freedom once again to live anew on the earth.

Sin comes from the word chatta’ah and means sin, sin offering, punishment, purification for sin, purifying, sinful, sinner.

You may wonder why the definition of the word chatta’ah also includes sin offering, purification for sin, and purifying. For the Israelites, GOD’s chosen people, HE required a blood sacrifice to purify oneself from sin. An unblemished animal would be sacrificed as a sin offering to purify oneself from sin’s guilt. For an animal lover, this is so difficult to deal with. However, sin itself brings about death, brings a defiling offense, and brings unwanted consequences. Blood given through sacrifice of death was GOD’s requirement for reconciliation in a relationship with HIM. The agonizing, brutal, and uncompromising way of these sacrifices were the result of humans tendency for compromising disobedience to GOD who is holy and just. Yet, HE is full of loving-kindness, mercy, and compassion with the heart to reconcile relationship with HIS creation… GOD had a plan for this to still become a reality for all mankind.

Sin is breaking the law and is known as lawlessness in 1 John 3:4. Anytime a person sins, it is essentially disobeying GOD’s commands. In James 4:17, it says that even knowing the good you should do and not doing it -that is sin.

What are some specific sins people commit according to GOD’s Word?

First off, we can look at the 10 Commandments found in Exodus 20:3-17:

  1. You shall have no other gods before me.
  2. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them.
  3. You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your GOD.
  4. Remember the Sabbath Day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your GOD. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigners residing in your towns.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Proverbs 6:16-19 reveals what GOD hates and are detestable to HIM:

  1. haughty eyes
  2. a lying tongue
  3. hands that shed innocent blood
  4. a heart that devises wicked schemes
  5. feet that are quick to rush into evil
  6. a false witness who pours out lies
  7. a person who stirs up conflict in the community

In Galatians 5:19-21, it reveals the acts of the flesh that are sins:

  1. sexual immorality
  2. debauchery
  3. idolatry
  4. witchcraft
  5. hatred
  6. discord
  7. jealousy
  8. fits of rage
  9. selfish ambitions
  10. dissensions
  11. factions
  12. envy
  13. drunkenness
  14. orgies

In Colossians 3:5-6, it also mentions sins of an earthly nature:

  1. sexual immorality
  2. impurity
  3. lust
  4. evil desires
  5. greed

In seeing these lists, it is quickly realized that one has sinned in more ways than one if we’re honest. There is definitely a need exposed of requiring a Savior and desiring forgiveness to live a new life…

Let’s take a look into one of the most compelling scripture passages dealing with personal sin found in Psalm 51:1-17.

This psalm was written by David, GOD’s chosen king, who is known as a man after GOD’s own heart. Even with having such a close connection with GOD, he committed a grievous and unthinkable sin that led to adultery with another man’s wife named Bathsheba, ordered that her husband Uriah the Hittite be sent to the frontlines of battle, and gave the command to the rest of the army to fall back once he was there so he would be killed.

Read 2 Samuel 11 for the full account.

Sin is personally dealt with by all. Sin needs to be confessed to be forgiven and cleansed from by GOD alone to whom we’ve ultimately sinned against.

Psalm 51:1-4

For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.

Have mercy on me, O God,
    according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
    blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
    and cleanse me from my sin.

For I know my transgressions,
    and my sin is always before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned
    and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
    and justified when you judge.

Sin is what we’re all born with. It is an unfortunate reality for every person in the world -part of the human condition.

Psalm 51:5-6

5 Surely I was sinful at birth,

sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;

    you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

Sin needs to be dealt with before GOD and request made of HIM to act on our behalf to be restored to right relationship.

Psalm 51:7-9

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
    let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins
    and blot out all my iniquity.

For those who have believed in and trusted in JESUS as Savior, one may request a pure heart, steadfast spirit, help of the Holy Spirit, and the return of the joy of one’s salvation, and a willing spirit…

Psalm 51:10-12

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
    and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
    or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
    and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Once our sin is dealt with, we have a responsibility to teach GOD’s ways so that unbelievers in sin and believers who are sinning can turn back to HIM. We may ask GOD to deliver us from sin’s darkness. Once HE does, we are to thank HIM continually. HE doesn’t want sacrifice or burnt offerings, but a broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart in order to draw near to HIM.

Psalm 51:13-17

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
    so that sinners will turn back to you.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
    you who are God my Savior,
    and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
15 Open my lips, Lord,
    and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
    you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is[b] a broken spirit;
    a broken and contrite heart
    you, God, will not despise.

Sin is something all humans have committed.

Romans 3:23

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD,

This verse was written by Paul who had a miraculous encounter with JESUS who blinds him in order to transform him with a new found personal relationship, with a new found heavenly wisdom, and with a new found purpose and vision to share the Gospel with the gentiles.

He was in accordance with the law trying to live perfectly prior to this encounter, yet he was still a sinner. He realized he could not live for GOD in his own power and will only.

Philippians 3:1-6

No Confidence in the Flesh

1 Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. 2 Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. 3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve GOD by HIS Spirit, who boast in Christ JESUS, and who put no confidence in the flesh 4 -though I myself have reasons for such confidence.

If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.

After being confronted by JESUS, Saul (which is his name before JESUS changed his name to Paul) is asked; “Why are you persecuting ME?”, Paul is able to repent and rely on JESUS as his Savior and LORD to better live out his life. He became one of the greatest missionaries of all time.

Philippians 3:7-14

7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ -the righteousness that comes from GOD on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ -yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Even when we have right relationship with GOD most of the time, we may still fail and sin from time to time.

Moses is considered the most humble man to ever live as referenced in Numbers 12:3. However, he dealt with sudden anger that led to sin on two occasions.

Exodus 2:12-15

12 Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?”

14 The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have become known.”

15 When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian, where he sat down by a well.

The effect of committing a sin is to hide our sin and even run away for self-preservation.

Numbers 20:1-13

Water from the Rock

20 In the first month the whole Israelite community arrived at the Desert of Zin, and they stayed at Kadesh. There Miriam died and was buried.

Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron. They quarreled with Moses and said, “If only we had died when our brothers fell dead before the Lord! Why did you bring the Lord’s community into this wilderness, that we and our livestock should die here? Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place? It has no grain or figs, grapevines or pomegranates. And there is no water to drink!”

Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the tent of meeting and fell facedown, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them. The Lord said to Moses, “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”

So Moses took the staff from the Lord’s presence, just as he commanded him. 10 He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.

12 But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”

13 These were the waters of Meribah,[a] where the Israelites quarreled with the Lord and where he was proved holy among them.

GOD gave specific instruction for Moses to speak to the rock and water would flow from it. However, Moses struck the rock twice with his staff in anger. GOD was not pleased with this outburst from Moses and this sin prevented him from entering the promise land. He would die before GOD’s people entered in.

All have sin within even after trusting JESUS as Savior. We will need to confess our sins throughout our lives for various reasons and in different seasons in life and HE will forgive us and cleanse us…

1 John 1:8-10

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

Our sins are an internal enemy of us all. We are born into sin. All of humanity is infected with sin. There is no man-made immunization for sin. All of us have an inability to deal with sin according to one’s own merit or effort. We cannot get rid of our own sins. The good news is there is a remedy to take into one’s heart to be forgiven of our sin nature, to obtain grace and mercy in time of need, to become more than a conqueror through faith, to obtain a future and a hope with new purpose and vision on mission, and to share a love for GOD and toward others through GOD’s only begotten SON JESUS…

Deception and Debilitation of satan

There is a second enemy the human race faces and often is confronted with.

1 Peter 5:8

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

This verse written by Peter is to believers to pay attention to their walk with GOD in Christ and to have a mind ready to pray and think on things above along life’s journey by warning us of our enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. JESUS attempts to prepare HIS disciples that they all will fall away from HIM during the events about to happen. Peter proclaims that even if all others fall away, that he would not. JESUS tells Peter, before the rooster crows, he will disown HIM 3 times. Peter learned the importance of being alert. While in the Garden of Gethsemane, JESUS was deeply troubled and asked the 2 sons of Zebedee and Peter to stay here and keep watch with ME. After praying and returning to them, they were sleeping each time. You may read the full account at the following link. Matthew 26:31-46 Later, when JESUS is interrogated by the chief priests and council, Peter who had followed where JESUS was was questioned 3 times if he was one of those who was with JESUS to which he denied knowing HIM each of the 3 times. Upon the 3rd time, the rooster crowed and Peter remembered JESUS’ words. Peter was overcome with grief and left outside weeping. You may read the full account at the following link. Matthew 26:69-75 Even Peter who loved JESUS dearly sinned in a way he didn’t believe he would. Later JESUS (after his death on the cross, burial, and resurrection) restored Peter in such a special and profound way which gives such hope for all of us who need the grace, mercy, and compassion JESUS gives… You may read the full account at the following link. John 21:15-19

John 10:10

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

The thief is satan and he looks for opportunities to steal, kill, and destroy people’s lives. JESUS came into the world that we may have life that is abundantly provided for and to experience the fruit of the Spirit ongoing…

How did satan become an enemy?

Isaiah 14:12-15

12 How you have fallen from heaven,
    morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
    you who once laid low the nations!
13 You said in your heart,
    “I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
    above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
    on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.[a]
14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
    I will make myself like the Most High.”
15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,
    to the depths of the pit.

The pride of satan to become like GOD even with intention to ascend in power to the heavens became his downfall to be cast out of heaven and down to the earth. GOD brought him down to be a part of that which is dead and into utter darkness of the deepest pit.

Revelation 12:9

The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Revelation 12:12

For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”

satan has many strategies he deploys to deceive and debilitate both believers in Christ and unbelievers caught in his clutches. In the article Satan’s 10 Strategies Against You by John Piper who is the founder and teacher of desiringGod.org, he goes into great detail for us to know and understand satan’s ways to attempt to derail the believer’s faith and keep unbeliever’s stuck in his trap. Here is the list of strategies discussed:

  1. Satan lies, and is the father of lies.
  2. He blinds the minds of unbelievers.
  3. He masquerades in costumes of light and righteousness.
  4. Satan does signs and wonders.
  5. Satan tempts people to sin.
  6. Satan plucks the Word of GOD out of people’s hearts and chokes faith.
  7. Satan causes some sickness and disease.
  8. Satan is a murderer.
  9. Satan fights against the plans of missionaries.
  10. Satan accuses Christians before GOD.

Satan’s 10 Strategies Against You

What is satan’s end?

Ezekiel 28:12-19

12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“‘You were the seal of perfection,
    full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden,
    the garden of God;
every precious stone adorned you:
    carnelian, chrysolite and emerald,
    topaz, onyx and jasper,
    lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.[a]
Your settings and mountings[b] were made of gold;
    on the day you were created they were prepared.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
    for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
    you walked among the fiery stones.
15 You were blameless in your ways
    from the day you were created
    till wickedness was found in you.
16 Through your widespread trade
    you were filled with violence,
    and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
    and I expelled you, guardian cherub,
    from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud
    on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
    because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
    I made a spectacle of you before kings.
18 By your many sins and dishonest trade
    you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
    and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
    in the sight of all who were watching.
19 All the nations who knew you
    are appalled at you;
you have come to a horrible end
    and will be no more.’”

Revelation 20:1-10

The Thousand Years

20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They[a] had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

The Judgment of Satan

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

satan is an external problem who is able to infiltrate our mind, heart, soul, and spirit increasing deception within unbelievers and causing deception, despair, anxiety, and fear within believers often creating blockades to faith, hope, and love to be experienced in JESUS. he comes to steal, kill, and destroy lives in which he derails people so as not to see the Way. satan as the father of lies deceives people so as not to listen to the Truth. he overpowers with strongholds toward bondage leveraged against people so as not to know the Life. Even so, we have a free will from GOD to come as we are to JESUS for HIS help overcoming the deception and being more than a conqueror over despair, anxiety, and fear. JESUS is the Way, the Truth, and the Life whom we may know personally by grace through faith above and beyond satan’s strategies to harm us.

Dependence, Devotion, and Desires Placed on the Savior

I am in need of a Savior. You are in need of a Savior. All people in the human race are in need of a Savior… I told you earlier that GOD had a plan to reconcile us into a right relationship with HIM to whom I allude to is through HIS only begotten SON JESUS… Despite our internal sin problem weighing us down as a heavy burden while breaking us down like a wrecking ball and despite our external enemy problem who is able to also infiltrate within causing havoc in our mind, heart, soul, and spirit -our remedy for our sin is found in JESUS and our rescue from our enemy satan is also found in JESUS… JESUS is the answer to how one can be forgiven and cleansed from sin within and JESUS is the solution to how one can defeat the enemy who wages war against every person…

Our remedy for our sin is found in JESUS…

Our rescue from our enemy satan is also found in JESUS…

-kingvision1717

If you don’t have a relationship with JESUS yet in order to be forgiven of your sin you were born into and the sin’s you’ve committed along life’s journey and need HIS spiritual help for victory over satan, today is the day of salvation…

Here is GOD’s plan for reconciling to HIM into right relationship:

John 3:16-17

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

GOD loves the whole world so this includes you too…

Salvation is receiving the Gift of GOD’s SON into your heart to have eternal life…

Know more about JESUS in whom you can believe in, trust in, accept and receive within your heart.

If you will believe these truths about JESUS, you may proceed to learning how you may become a believer, a new creation, born again, and forgiven of all your sins…

Let’s look at what is called the Roman Road to Salvation:

Romans 3:23

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 10:9-13

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

What if you still doubt? Maybe you relate to Thomas.

Thomas is one of the disciples who doubted, but once he saw JESUS alive again after dying on the cross and seeing JESUS’ scars from the nails -he was overwhelmed with excitement and finally believed…

John 20:24-29

Jesus Appears to Thomas

24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

JESUS understands your doubts and he declares that we who have not seen HIM with our own eyes are blessed if we still believe anyway.

Are you ready now, not only to believe, but ready to find personal salvation in JESUS?…

If so, you’re making the best decision you will ever make in all of your life. You’ll receive JESUS as your Savior and LORD forevermore… You’ll receive forgiveness of all of your sins forevermore… You’ll receive GOD as your FATHER in Heaven forevermore… You’ll receive what JESUS prepares as a place in Heaven for you forevermore… You’ll receive the promised Holy Spirit sent by GOD the FATHER to be your helper -a wonderful counselor who points you to JESUS reminding you of HIS Words, who teaches you all truth, and who is a deposit guaranteeing your entrance into Heaven after you die or when JESUS returns while you’re still alive…

If this is your first time turning to JESUS to be your Savior, here is what you may pray to receive JESUS into your heart as Savior and LORD of your life from here on out:

“Dear GOD -I know I am a sinner and I ask for YOUR forgiveness. I believe JESUS is YOUR SON whom YOU sent to save me and not to condemn me. I believe JESUS died on the cross for all of my sins, was buried 3 days, and was risen again to life. JESUS, I call on YOUR Name and ask YOU to come into my heart that I may be born again and to be made a new creation. Thank YOU for saving me and for preparing for me a place in Heaven to live forevermore… Thank YOU GOD for being my FATHER in Heaven now. I ask YOU to send to me YOUR Holy Spirit to be within me who will help me live this new life YOU have given to me… in JESUS Name I pray Amen.”

If you’re wanting to return to JESUS as your Savior and LORD because you have wandered off, ran far from HIM to go your own way, or have denied HIM (no matter how many times), here is what you may pray in returning to HIM:

“JESUS, I return to YOU as my Savior and LORD. Forgive me for going my own way and not living for YOU. Forgive me of all my sins. Thank YOU for YOUR promise to receive me back to YOU and that by putting my trust in YOU once again, I will not be put to shame… Create in me a pure heart and renew a steadfast Spirit within me to sustain me. Thank YOU for loving me first and I desire now to love YOU and do GOD the FATHER’s will in serving to bring YOU praise, honor, and glory… Help me to live by walking in the Spirit to live life anew as the new creation YOU made me to be… In YOUR Name JESUS I pray Amen.”

Here are encouraging Words to build you back up in the faith filled relationship you have with JESUS…

Proverbs 3:11-12

11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
    and do not resent his rebuke,
12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
    as a father the son he delights in.

Zechariah 1:1-6

A Call to Return to the Lord

In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo:

“The Lord was very angry with your ancestors. Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty. Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.’ But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the Lord. Where are your ancestors now? And the prophets, do they live forever? But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors?

“Then they repented and said, ‘The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’”

Psalm 103:10-14

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
    or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,
    so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
    he remembers that we are dust.

Isaiah 1:16-18

16 Wash and make yourselves clean.
    Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
    stop doing wrong.
17 Learn to do right; seek justice.
    Defend the oppressed.[a]
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
    plead the case of the widow.

18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
    says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
    they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
    they shall be like wool.

As Believers, we still struggle with sin on and off in our walk with GOD our FATHER and the LORD JESUS. We still battle with the enemy satan here and there along our walk as well. It will take time to develop and mature in our relationship with GOD. In HIS timing, in HIS ways, in reading HIS Word, in praying to HIM, in HIS discipline, and in HIS leading and guiding we will gain more victory over sin and satan…

We need to remember that JESUS has forgiven our sins when HE took our place on the cross. Before JESUS died on the cross, animal sacrifices were made to atone for people’s sins. JESUS is the Lamb of GOD, the spotless Lamb, and the Lamb that was slain on our behalf to be forgiven of our sins. JESUS died once and for all and HIS blood covers over all of our sin and we don’t have to bring sacrifices to be forgiven. Yes, we need to give up sinful ways which is to repent or turn away from sins. This response is what GOD desires as stated again in Psalm 51 that says a broken heart and a broken and contrite spirit GOD will not despise. If we confess our sins daily and turn away from them as we walk along, HE will help us by HIS Spirit to live the new life HE’s given. If we abide in JESUS, we will begin to mature and bear good fruit in our relationship with HIM for HE won the victory over our sin so we don’t have to live in them anymore.

Our biggest problems we deal with on a daily basis, with JESUS by our side, may be fought with the faith, hope, and love HE gives to live onward. JESUS stands ready to restore us, redeem us, and reveal to us GOD’s will for our lives with a new purpose, a new vision, and a new mission…

May GOD our FATHER encourage you with Paul’s prayer and do likewise in your life reminding you of what JESUS has accomplished on your behalf:

Colossians 1:9-23

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[a] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[b] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[c] your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

Our dependence on JESUS is HIM being our Savior. Our dependence on JESUS is HIM being our Good Shepherd to whom we listen to HIS voice and follow HIM. Our dependence on JESUS is HIM being our LORD who commands us to love GOD with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love others as ourselves… Our devotion to HIM will be established as we get to know HIM better, grow in wisdom and understanding of the Word, and show ourselves as HIS disciples by the way we talk to others, treat others, and thank GOD in our walk with HIM… We are to abide in HIM by drawing near to HIM, spending quiet time with HIM in prayer (pouring out our hearts at times even), and reading/listening/meditating on HIS Word to which HE builds up our faith to become steadfast in HIM, builds up our hope to become secure in HIM, and builds up our love to become sincere in and through HIM toward GOD and others… As we delight in HIM, HE will reveal our hearts desires to which he will give those desires an outlet for pursuing or those desires HE allows us to receive as personal between us and HIM only that we cherish forever within… May GOD our FATHER and our LORD and Savior JESUS Christ bless and keep you in HIS love and care…

  1. Thank you for sharing this post. It has taken me a while to read through, and what has blessed me is the part you have said, and I paraphrase, that we overcome sin and Satan’s vexations progressively with constant reading and studying and meditation on the word of God. A constant reliance and dependence on Jesus. Personally, I struggle with patience with others especially after a going through something over and over again with them. And I honestly need God’s Holy Spirit to have long-suffering like He does with us. For truly I recognize, that if it was not for His grace and patience with me, I would still be a lost sheep.

    Wonderful message and exhortation. I praise God for that.

    1. Yes, we all need GOD’s Holy Spirit for sure to practice long-suffering… As you get older and grow in your faith, you’ll find it may become easier as you remember all HE’s done for you and how HE works in and through you to serve and minister to others… Yes, I am right there with you as I can also say if it wasn’t for HIS grace and patience (and for me especially HIS mercy and compassion), I’d be a lost sheep in the deepest pit… Praise GOD that HE looks to rescue, restore, and redeem in the ministry of reconciliation!!!… Thank you for encouraging me Shiko!… That may very well be one of your gifts.
